I have been pursuing art for 50 years. When I began I could not draw a decent stick figure and I certainly never thought of myself as an artist or that I ever would be considered an artist. I began painting because, more or less, I had to. The paint has always pulled at me and sooner or later I submit and paint. I work in Oil, Acrylic, Oil Pastel and Watercolor. I use a set technique for each medium and when considering a subject I select the paint that best fits my vision for it. I use different supports; canvas, wood, osb panel and paper and once again, I let the subject matter determine which to use. My central motto is, follow the paint. Over the years, whatever skill I have acquired has come through some wonderful, and patient, teachers. Outside of my wife and 2 children painting is the singular passion of my life. My goal is always to intrigue.
