Why the name 14 South Artists? 
The group was started in 2004 by a small group of fine artists residing in the small communities and rural areas south of Madison WI along Hwy 14. 

What does 14 South Artists do? 
The mission of 14 South Artists, Inc. is to promote social welfare by promoting the visual arts in the communities of South-Central Wisconsin, including but not limited to:

  • providing opportunities for artists to present their art to the public,
  • providing opportunities for meaningful interactions between artists, art supporters, and the general public,
  • providing educational opportunities for artist’s self-improvement, 
  • exposing communities in South Central Wisconsin to quality art, and
  • educating the public about local art and artists

Where is the home base? 
Oregon WI has been the traditional base of activities. 

How many artists are in 14 South Artists?
There are approximately 45 active artist members. 

Are there residential limits to membership?
No. Anyone can become a member, but living farther away may make active participation in meetings, educational events and exhibits/shows more difficult.

How do I join?

Meetings typically occur on the second Monday of the month at 6:30 pm. at various locations.

14 South Artists, Inc. is a non-profit, non-stock corporation, with 501c4 designation. Donations are not tax deductible.
