Printmaking

Printmakers create new works of art by transferring ink or paint to a sheet of paper or other media by a variety of techniques. Woodcut, etching, engraving, lithography, linocut, and screenprinting to name a few. These processes allow the artist to make multiple copies of the same image. Each of these is considered to be an original work of art since each impression has a slight variation.
