I am a classically trained opera singer and a certified shamanic practitioner. I have always been artistic, but didn’t have a clear direction until I started studying core shamanism, and I had to make my own meditation tools. Now my work reflects the spiritual connections I have made and the journeys I have undertaken. I would like to share my artistic evolution by creating beautiful pieces that others can find inspiration in as well. I specialize in bespoke rattles, but also make Siberian eye curtains, and Spirit bracelets. Each piece starts with a message from nature, and I feel that I am honoring Mother Earth in my work. I use leather, beads, wood, feathers, and natural items like acorn caps and animal bones. Everything is constructed to ensure longevity for decoration or ceremony.

I begin each of my bespoke rattles by using a muse from nature to design an emblem to wood burn. Then I choose a hoop size and colors for weaving and wrapping. Once I’ve pinned down the colors, I pick out which beads and wooden circles will create the right sound and look to complete the design. Then the hoop is wrapped in a base color, and a leather handle wrap is added. Then I do the first weaving layer. Once this is complete, I wood burn all of my circles and attach the center emblem with beading and a leather backing. Then additional weaving layers are added for color and depth. The last step is to add the rattle pieces to the outside rim of the hoop. Everything is finished with adhesive to ensure longevity as these rattles are meant to be used as well as hung for decoration.
