Nature is a strong influence in my art. I love the beauty, texture, shape, color, and variety that is so prevalent in the world around us. It is my belief that the Universe speaks to us through the natural world, and we can find meaning and messages by paying attention to subjects in nature that we encounter, are attracted to, or dream about. When I am inspired to paint a particular animal or plant that elicits an attraction, I research the spiritual meaning and interpret what lesson can be learned from the subject or theme. Attraction and inspiration from a particular plant/animal is very individualized and can differ significantly from person to person. The message I receive when creating a painting can be quite different than the message you receive when viewing it after completion.

Art allows me to escape to a magical place where I can create something meaningful and beautiful while also opening a line of communication between myself and the Universe. My hope is that when viewing my art, it sparks in you a story or feeling that brings joy and appreciation for all the abundant beauty that we see in this life. Perhaps when viewing a particular piece, there is a message that is meant especially for you from the Universe, to personally inspire or uplift you. Each person who looks at a piece of art is inspired differently. By allowing my art to open your mind and spirit, you can envision a meaning or message that is solely yours. In whatever way my art inspires you, my wish is that it brings you joy, happiness, and tranquility as well as a reminder that the Universe watches over you and is always sending messages of love, encouragement, and inspiration.
