Fiber Art

In 2014 I retired from the corporate world with a vision of creating a small fiber art business. My three sheep – Shirley, Bluebell, and Pearl – gave me the curiosity and inspiration to increase my knowledge of processing wool from start to finish – Sheep to Shawl – and to sell my products online and at local venues.

Although my journey started with hand processing my own sheep’s wool and spinning yarns, I was excited and amazed to see how much there was to learn within the fiber community! I read books, watched videos, took both in-person and online classes from around the world, attended retreats, and spent numerous hours networking with other fiber enthusiasts and small fiber businesses. I have developed a real passion to keep learning and creating.

Each piece I create is one-of-a-kind. I love to repurpose and recycle anything wool and incorporate color and texture into each piece. I continue to be intrigued with all the different wool fibers available to work with.

The items I create are available for purchase at the Oregon Arts Center and online at WyldandWooly.com. My hand-spun art yarns are also available at the Sievers Fiber Art School shop. I share my passion and enthusiasm for wet and needle felting and various fiber arts by teaching classes locally.
