I create using very fluid acrylic paint (paint that is mixed with a medium and/or additives that will allow me to move the mixture freely across the surface and create texture-like effects. Most of my art is abstract in nature, however I also create more representational compositions using dotting tools and acrylic paints that have not been mixed with a medium. This representational art is inspired by ancient mandala designs as well as traditional quilt patterns. I do not use pattern stencils to create any of my work. A few strategically placed measured lines are all I need to guide my free-hand work.
