Why the name 14 South Artists, Inc?The group was started in 2004 by a small group of fine artists residing in the small communities and rural areas south of Madison WI along Hwy 14. The goal of the name was to bring awareness to the artistic community south of Madison.

What does 14 South Artists, Inc do?The mission of 14 South Artists, Inc is to promote social welfare through visual arts in the communities of South-Central Wisconsin, including but not limited to: providing opportunities for artists to present their art to the public providing opportunities for meaningful interactions between artists, art supporters, and the general public providing educational opportunities for artist’s self-improvement exposing communities in South Central Wisconsin to quality art educating the public about local art and artists

Where is the home base?Oregon, WI has been the traditional base of activities. We now have a brick & mortar gallery called the Oregon Art Center at 134 Janesville St, Oregon, WI 53575.

How many artists are in 14 South Artists?There are 50+ active artist members.

Are there residential limits to membership?No. Anyone can become a member, but living farther away may make active participation in meetings, educational events and exhibits/shows more challenging.

When & where are meetings?Meetings typically occur on the second Monday of the month at 6:00 pm at the Oregon Public Library. See our home page for meeting dates and locations.

How much are dues?Dues vary by the membership categories.
