Bob Garvoille

I am a retired carpet installer turned wood-turner. When spending time in Yuma, AZ one winter, I took a class on wood-turning at a local community center. I started by learning how to create pens and pepper mills and eventually learned to use a wood lathe machine to create solid wood (and later segmented) bowls. I have since expanded into making cutting boards, charcuterie boards, and pizza peels because I enjoy putting various colors and types of wood together to create beautiful art.

I have always been someone who works with my hands and takes great pride in what I am able to create and it is a joy to see people enjoying my pieces. It has been even more rewarding to see people then share my work with others.
